Cambodia's first TV reality show, Cellcard Star, is a singing competition in which contestants living together for three months are eliminated week-by-week by public phone votes. KMF was hired as programme consultant and producer for the first series (Feb to May 2009) by the country's leading broadcaster CTN.
CTN have engaged KMF to produce the second series of 12 one-hour shows.
Starting Monday 4 January 2010 and running until April, Cellcard Star 2 broadcasts live for two hours five-days-a-week, and for two-and-a-half hours of a live concert on Sunday afternoon.
The show, the scheduling pillar for CTN's new youth channel MyTV, built a large enthusiastic audience during the first series. After only five weeks on air, the Sunday concerts at Phnom Penh's huge Chenla Theatre were as tightly packed as a sardine can.
Chuon Samnang and Kit Chantha produce for KMF; Chum Chan Dorn and Matthew Robinson are the exeuctive producers.
